I've been fortunate enough to complete two internships during my college career and both of them sparked my love for Data Science and really opened my eyes to the wide and fascinating array of applications that Data Science has.

There's nothing more I love than travelling out to different places on the weekends and building something amazing. This picture in the background is me winning the Grand Prize at HackPrinceton! I was the Data Scientist on the team for a very cool project which I'm actually still working on to implement in schools. Since I am very passionate about Informatics but was not able to take the classes, I immersed myself into it by constantly taking Data Science course on platforms like EdX and Udemy. I have racked up quite a few certifications. They are - Introduction to Python, Python For Data Science, Machine Learning for Trading, R Basics, Probability and Statistics, Linear Algebra for Machine Learning, Data Science Fundamentals and Data Visualization. All these helped me actually complete Data Science projects and enhanced my desire to join Finance and Data Science

I have two main goals with Data Science - One, become a Quantitative Analyst at a financial firm and Two, use Data Science to increase the quality of education. Starting with the Financial side of it, I've always been fascinated by bringing order to the chaos of the market and understanding what moves it and why. This is reflected in my projects and the courses I choose to take. I absolutely loved the analysis I was asked to carry out at Fidelity. The second goal is more personal, one which started with my HackPrinceton hackathon project. I have initiated a partnership with a school in Taiwan to test my project on children and increase the quality of their education by tracking their brainwave data

Coming into my Junior year, I really love the crop of classes I have this Fall. INFO 101 and 150 are great, Professor Rattigan is inspiring in Predictive Analytics and Game Theory and Investments bring in my love for economics, finance and strategy. I want to keep shaping my schedule in such a way - where I learn the hard analysis and math along with what I want to apply it to. I was so excited about INFO 150 and Game Theory that I prepared for them over the summer and did a lot of the exercises already. I also took Business Intelligence and Analytics over the summer which was absolutely amazing and I loved the work for that class. The classses within the informatics track are exactly what I want out of my college education
